Why Men Disappear

Why Men Disappear

My friend is registered on several dating sites and has gone on many dates. You probably know how it is - go out, go out and go out and keep looking until you finally find (or not).

100 dates, 0 regrets

I was there until less than a year ago. I won't exaggerate and say that for about a year and a half plus or minus, I had at least a hundred dates (but who's counting) and for a moment I didn't feel bad about it. It's true that there were dates that I wanted to forget and there were some that I wanted to repeat, but overall I couldn't stand it. I found time for that too. And not that my life is boring - there is enough content in it, actually it depends on who you ask.

During that time, I sometimes also had five or six phone numbers for the weekend. Of course it seems strange to you or maybe screwed up, but there were times when I was blown away and then it's hard to understand what the point is with all these girls who blow up at the last minute.

Why do men disappear?

We walked down Rothschild Blvd between the Globes and she tried to understand what we, the men, were up to. Why are we meeting with you, the fair sex. After a date everything goes great, there is chemistry, even a kiss and in the end we disappear. I remained motionless there in front of the globe. I didn't have an unequivocal answer.

I remembered two years ago how it happened to me too. Sitting in some dark bar, drinking a lot of alcohol and living like there is no tomorrow. At the end of the evening we kiss and at the end I promise to call and tell how much I enjoyed it. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed it. Maybe she talked a little too much, but I enjoyed it. So why did I actually disappear there? I was probably confused about the ex or confused by the amount of referrals I received on the site.

The next date is better

It is very flattering that they want to go out with you. You convince yourself that the date was nice, but the next date can be even better and maybe that special one I've been looking for will really come. The one that will keep me awake at night.

'What are you staring at the globe for so long?'. she said and waited for an answer from me.

'Understand,' I replied, 'It's complicated. It very much depends on what stage of life you catch that man. You know, there is an offer on the websites and in the pictures most of you look like a million dollars, so we remain confused.'

'You are so strange. You think you will grab the whole world in one hand and make more and more lives. I don't understand why you even go on dates and declare that you want a serious relationship?'.

I went out, spent time and finally found the one

I smiled, on the one hand I understood so much what she was talking about, but on the other hand I knew you were like that too.

"For more than a year and a half I was on our dating site and several other sites. I went out, spent time in all kinds of places. Bars, cafes, walking in Yarkon Park At midnight, meetings at your house on the first date, but it had a purpose - to find the one. Sometimes it takes time to find the one, sometimes we're not sure it's the one, so along the way we have fun and don't have to apologize for it. Sometimes we do stupid things but we try to make the best of it This is also the reason I didn't get upset about these dates. And in the end I also found the one."

Will call or won't call

'I have no patience for this - to wait for you to call,' she said.

"Then call me. You always think we should call. If it's someone you liked and you had a good time with him, call me."

"Tomer, sometimes you don't understand women so much. It's part of the game and you expect us to play with you all the way through."

I stared at the globe of one of the fuel companies and thought about what she said. I wondered if he would call her back.

Two days later I was informed that he called and that it was a great date, even though she threw up on him after they slept. But that already belongs to another story. Will there be a sequel? time will tell.
